First came forever ( The Angelheart Saga #1) by Annie Woods

First love. A promise of forever. A lie that changes everything.
Backpacking with her high school friends, Erica Lindell's life takes a thrilling new turn. Meeting the fascinating Sasha Ailes, she can't help but fall completely and irrevocably in love with him. When he feels the same way about her, Erica finds herself drawn into a fairytale love story that will set her life on a new direction. But Sasha has kept his true identity a secret. Finding out who he really is, Erica must overcome the betrayal and make the hardest choice of her life. Can she give up her own dreams to live in his world, or leave and lose him forever?
First Came Forever is an enchanting, heart-wrenching story about finding true love and the devastating consequences it can lead to. What price is too high to pay, even for love?

Erica can't believe it when her friends chose to party over visiting temples, and other historical places, something they have been planning and saving to do since they were kids. They have been planning this trip forever but now it seems her friends were more into boys and partying than into the actual travelling.Having no other options available Erica was left to explore and visit places on her own. During one of this trip she met Sasha, who is nothing like the other boys around her. He seems so grown up and mature. They both instantly became quick friends and travel buddies.  It seems Erica had finally found her perfect partner who is as interested in visiting historical places and temples as her. They both share a passion for travel among other similar interests.

But Sasha is not who he seems he is. He is in fact someone else altogether. He is a prince actually, who kind of ran away from his guards to enjoy life a bit. But Erica is unlike any other girls whom he had met and he is falling for her, unknowing of the fact that she is too falling for him. But  can a love story like this happen?

Not only does Erica not know of his real identity, she lives in Sweden which is far apart from his country as it is but now she is moving to USA. And on top of that Someone is hell bent on causing him harm. Though that criteria is a problem which is probably faced by all Princes.

How will they make it work against all these odds?
It seems impossible...
But as the saying goes...Love conquers all...must be true, indeed.

It is not a hilarious read not even a funny read. But it is emotional, too emotional. It is made more heart touching by the fact that the story is written very realistically. There is no situation which have any out of the world dramatisation. Every situation has been perfectly crafted and executed.

I loved the way their story progressed, it was so sweet!
Their love for each other can be almost felt in every page. It certainly takes the crown for having a heart wrenching story line. The narrative was superb and fast paced. Quite literally it was unputdownable.

What I loved about this book personally is the description of places. It is filled with the descriptions of all the places they travelled and written so well that one can almost imagine them in their mind's eye.

I was enthralled by its beauty. It can almost be recommended just for its awesome travel descriptions.
I loved Erica and Sasha, both of their characters are so well formed. Though Erica at times seemed a bit indecisive and fickle to me. Sasha on the other hand was always so transparent and sincere in his thoughts that one can't do anything other than liking him. He is emotional, they both are actually and is always straight forward in his dealings.  He does not minces his words and always let her know his real thoughts without playing any games. I absolutely adore him!

His character is so far fetched from the ideal of a prince that it is hard to imagine that he is one at times. He is just so charming and open.(well except his actual identity, that he guards like a mother lion guarding her cubs)

While its main focus was romance I also loved the way all characters seem to grow up and mature throughout the story. It is a love story but that is not all, it is also a story about pain and loss, mistakes, courage , decusion makings in life and everything in between. I would say it is a story of life rather than love. It is a story of growing up and tackling life. It reminded me that does not matter what hardship life throws one needs to gather the courage to get up and live everyday.

I really enjoyed reading this. In fact I enjoyed it so much I'm starting the second part right now!
I'm definitely recommending this book to everyone. Just try it out. Believe me you'll never know what hit you. It is just such a wonderful emotional roller coaster ride.

You'll love every minute of it!

I'm so grateful to Author Annie Woods for sending me a copy of it. Can't wait to finish the second one!
