The Vampire Stalker - Allison Van Diepen

Amy is in love with Alexander Banks. There is nothing wrong with that. Now let's try this again. Amy is in love with Alexander Banks who is a fictional character in the popular vampire series called otherworld. Now do you see Amy's problem?
However one day, sorry, one night Amy meets a boy who is awfully similar to Alexander, wait it turns out even better. He is Alexander himself who has been somehow  transported from his world into her world while pursuing a vampire called Vigo. Now Amy just needs to make Alexander fall in love with her but hold on a second, why is Vigo targeting her sister? Looks like she needs to save her sister as well as pursue a romantic relationship with the love of her life.
Now coming to the plot. I'm sure every person who are book addicts have at least fallen for one book character in their life. Do I need to say anymore about the plot?
No?
Yes, that's what I thought:)
However the characters are a bit immature and not well developed. Amy is a typical heroine with all the qualities of a bookish nerdy teenager for whom the bad boy of class falls. The relation between Amy and the librarian is very poorly developed thus it feels unreal. Alexander is a typical fantasy hero character which could be found in almost all fantast novels. He doesn't have time for love but ultimately he irrevocably falls for the heroine whom he himself ironically saves all the time. Another aspect of consideration is the relation between the two lovers, there is no chemistry or spark. The relation itself feels flat  and forced.
As I said a-typical-fantasy-romance. The writing isn't very extraordinary either. It is okay nothing out of the world. To round it off 'The Vampire Stalker'  by Allison Van Diepen is a light hearted, fluffy, young adult romance novel which is good for passing a few hours.
I've added the cover picture with the first two pages of the book. Enjoy!
