Oblivion(Lycopolis Trilogy #2) - Ali Luke

 The story continues in Oblivion.
Kay has managed to banish the prince somehow and save all her friends. But they still have nightmares and Seth is worse of them all. The prince still wants him. In fact he would do anything to get his mortal back. Kay is tge only one standing between him and Seth.
At the beginning of the story it would seem that all the characters have slowly began to drift away from the darkness but that is not so. As the story progresses and life throws hardships in their paths it would seem that some darkness are never meant to disappear.
Seth lives alone in a small house outside of the populated city. He feels warmth and safe there. When Kay visits him she also feels that. It seems that the house is protecting him. But what will be the cost of that protection?
Everything comes at a price and sometimes it's better to struggle alone than surrender to protection as all of them will learn that lesson again, but perhaps Seth and Kay more so.
Time is running out, the prince is gathering his strength. It is almost full. He will not be delayed anymore. He is coming for Seth and nothing will stand in his way of gaining the kingship now. He will be the ruler.
The story as with the first book is fast paced and filled with action. The narrative is very detailed and lucid making it very easy to understand as well as pleasurable.
The plot thickens further and makes the story more intriguing.
However as the story progresses I'm beginning to agree with Seth that Edwin is nothing but an emotionally unstable and pathetic kid with no backbone of his own.
Kay is the only character in the whole story whom I genuinely like. She is like a determined lioness protecting her cubs from bad things. Seth is becoming more pathetic day by day.The only character whom I liked a bit after Kay is Robert. I like how his character develops from the first book to the second.
All over Author Ali Luke is creating a really wonderful story. Kudos to her.
